The first of P!ATD's album covers are quite arty, and they don't feature the band on the covers. This is because the image of the band wasn't overly important, and they were mostly identified by their style.
...Live In Chicago was the band's first live album, and was also the first to feature the band on the album cover. I feel like this is because they had now be seen performing their music across several nations, showing that their was now a definite face to match the music. Despite them being featured on the album cover, you still cannot really see the faces of the band members. In
Vices & Virtues, you can see the face of two of the three band members, which shows the evolution of the band in the sense that their personal image is now imortant. In their most recent album,
Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!, only the band's frontman is on the album cover. According to a variety of sources, the band's frontman, Brendon Urie, is particularly difficult to work with. This is shown in this cover, as he is alone, and the rest of the band aren't being considered anyore.
